Transportation
You will need a vehicle such as a van. Truck or SUV. You will be able to get one bounce house in any of these vehicles but if you are going to be renting 2 or 3 say, 15x 15 bouncers, you will also require a trailer.
Hand Truck
A commercial quality hand truck will serve you best. Avoid a hand truck that has hard rubber tires as they are can tear up lawns. You will have more ease with and better traction with inflatable tires. They are wider and easier to handle the heavy equipment.
We recommend the Mongo Mover or a hand truck designed to move appliances. They usually have straps and are designed for heavy loads.
Sand Bags and Sand Bag Covers
It is recommended that you use 2 sand bags on each corner of your inflated commercial grade bounce house when placing in on a hard surface. You will also need sand bag covers that will allow you to connect the sand bags to the inflatable.
Tarps
Often times, when you purchase a bounce house, a tarp will be included. It is a good idea to have several on hand. Tarps a very inexpensive and will go a long way in protecting you inflatables.
It is a good idea to leave an extra tarp with your client if there should be the possibility of rain. That way, they can deflate it and place a tarp over the deflated bounce house. The reason for this action is because when inflatables get wet, they are much heavier to move. Bottom line is you can never have enough tarps in the cheap inflate bounce house rental business.
Stakes and A Hammer
When you are placing your bouncers on the grass, you will want to use stakes. Small tent stakes can be used for the tarp but heavier stakes will be needed for the inflatable. You will also require a hammer with a claw to hammer them in and pull them out.
We recommend that you use two spikes on each corner and secured by rope loops for the most amount of stability.
Electrical Extension Cords
You will need the heavy-duty outdoor type. You can check to see if your power source has problem with an extension cord that has a small LED light on the end. A 50-foot cord should be all you will need, but it is always a good idea to have a longer one too just in case.
Power Generator
Generators are expensive. You will only require one if you rent to a facility were there is no electricity. The best advice we can offer is to rent one when you need it until you are big enough where it makes sense to own one.
It will be good homework for you to know how much it will cost you to rent one. That way you will be prepared when it comes up and you can price that job accordingly.
